One can look at me and tell real quick I like deserts and my favorite cake of all time is hot Lava Cake! I even love to pile it on with vanilla ice cream too. Always wondered how restaurants made it? I'm still not sure but I do know how to make it at home now thanks to this recipe: www.thedailymeal.com/recipes/slow-cooker-chocolate-lava-cake-recipeNow one needs the big oval shaped crock pot and I'll give you some tips on how to make the cake perfect like the recipe says; One spray your crock pot with cooking spray and then set it on high while you are making the cake. Make your pudding first and if you can find a richer chocolate "instant" pudding do so like Hersheys make a instant chocolate pudding and Jello makes a Dutch Chocolate type too. Use a rich chocolate cake mix like Dutch chocolate or devils food chocolate and make sure you add the eggs and oil as on the mix. After you put the cake mix in the crock pot evenly when you put the pudding in just take big spoon and drop spoon fulls all over the cake mix, DO NOT stir the pudding in the cake mix, again just drop big spoon fulls all over the pot full of cake mix. Then GENTLY take your spoon and just smear the cake batter over the pudding, DO NOT stir it up! The sprinkle two cups of your favorite chocolate chips over the batter. I love the Nestlie's fully sweet chips but you can use what you like, dark, semi-sweet, etc. Pop the lid on and then come check it at the 2 hour mark, like the recipe says when you can stick it and it doesn't come out gummy it's ready to eat plus when it's done the cake will start separating from the side of the crock pot. This is some good! JR
