Home made Chicken Sandwich
ingredients:
4 to 6 Boneless chicken breasts
Sea Salt
Ground Pepper
Oil for frying (Peanut Oil)
3/4 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 cup unseasoned bread crumbs
1 1/2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Dry Mustard
1/2 teaspoon Season all or paprika
Dill pickles
Hamburger buns (I used wheat)
Butter (for the hamburger buns)
Directions:
First, if the chicken breasts are too big as some are you will need to cut them in half.
Get three different bowls. First bowl second bowl add the flour and seasonings (Salt, pepper, powdered sugar, baking soda, dry mustard),
second bowl add the milk and the third bowl add the bread crumbs.
Trim all the fat off the chicken.
Dip the chicken in the flour mixture FIRST (TIP: this will allow all the seasonings to be cooked directly into the chicken for a savory taste)
After you dip the dry chicken into the flour mixture immediately dip it into the milk
Then dip it into the milk mixture again
Then dip it into the bread crumbs and the flour mixture again immediately after the bread crumbs.
Set all the dipped pieces of chicken on a plate and wait for the oil to heat up
Next place oil in a frying pan enough for it to cover about 1/2 a piece of chicken
Head the oil before you place the chicken in it (you can test this by placing a piece of flour into the oil if it sizzles, it’s ready)
Cook the chicken for about 2 minutes on each side (just enough to brown the crust) and then put it on a cookie sheet
and cook for about another 20 to 30 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees or until the chicken is white inside
(TIP: I never fry the chicken on the stove top because the chicken tends to get dry quickly.
Be browning the outside and baking the rest, you are almost guaranteed to have very moist and tender chicken breasts every time)
While the chicken is baking, butter each side of the hamburger bun and grill them until brown.
Add pickles and serve hot!
Voila! You just made a Good Chicken sandwich!
